Sensei Alex Pereda is the Senior Instructor and Zone Director based in NSW, Australia. Alex has been a member of GKR since 1993 and is currently a 4th Dan Black Belt.
He began his training in Western Sydney and had a successful competitive career including winning numerous national kumite titles in the National All-Styles tournament circuit. In 2000, Alex won the W.A.S.O (World All-Styles Organisation) World Open Kumite Title. A year later he won his second world title, winning the World Open Kata Title at GKR’s 2001 World Cup.
In 2010 Alex was appointed the role of Zone Director and now oversees the ongoing training and support of Senior Instructors/Regional Managers, Branch Instructors and students throughout the New South Wales area.
Alex is based in Sydney, NSW with his wife Viki and two children, Antonio and Aleksandra.
