Exciting Announcement: Free Streaming of the GKR Karate World Cup

We are excited to bring you the first GKR World Cup since 2019, and even more thrilled to announce that we will be streaming the event LIVE and for FREE on our official Facebook page, Facebook event, and YouTube channel. This allows our global community to join in and witness the premiere event on the GKR Karate International calendar.

Official Streaming Details

Where? Our official Facebook page, Facebook event, and YouTube channel. Ensure you have joined the event and subscribed to our Youtube channel to access these streams. (will put links in for all channels)
When? A variety of selected events will be streamed across all 3 days of the tournament. Stay tuned for the official streaming schedule, which we will post closer to the event.
Cost? Absolutely FREE!

Important Notice: Protect Yourself from Fake Accounts and Streams

While we celebrate this exciting event, we want to ensure your safety and security online. Recently, we have identified numerous fake accounts, groups, and profiles on Facebook that are attempting to impersonate GKR Karate and promote fraudulent streams, or sell fake spectator tickets.

Key Points to Remember:

No Friend Requests from GKR: GKR Karate will never send friend requests on Facebook. If you receive a request from an account claiming to be us, please block/report it immediately & inform any fellow GKR members you see interacting with these profiles for their safety.
Official Streams: The only legitimate streams of the World Cup will be on our official Facebook page, Facebook event, and YouTube channel. Any promotion asking for payment to view the streams is fraudulent.
Stay Informed: Keep an eye on our official channels for updates and the streaming schedule.
Only Official Tickets: We are aware of an increase of spam accounts offering fake tickets for sale. Spectator tickets can only be purchased from the official site here. Do not purchase any tickets from other users online. Anyone with tickets they will not be using is encouraged to contact the ticket issuer 02 9951 5000 for a refund. Returned tickets will be added back into the available pool for purchase by other members.

Why GKR Karate?

Self Defence

Synonymous with martial arts, self defence and inner self confidence are one of the key takeaways from regular training. From the age of 5 GKR teaches basic self defence and extraction moves, continuing right through to our senior grades.
Weight Loss

Karate is a great way to lose or maintain a healthy weight, with most classes consisting of aerobic, stretching and toning activities. For those who may not have exercised in some time, GKR provides a supportive environment where students can train at their own pace and physical ability. Our classes are a mixture of men, women and children of all ages.
Focus

Many parents are keen to see their children develop greater focus and discipline through their martial arts training, and GKR’s classes provide the perfect environment. Instructors teach in a respectful and supportive atmosphere through karate inspired games, activities and drills.

Family

GKR promotes a family environment, encouraging kids, parents and relatives to all train in the same class. Staying a few karate grades behind your children, will encourage them to continue a regular training program.
Respect

As a traditional Japanese martial arts, karate promotes respect to our instructors, our club, each other and most importantly ourselves. This is a key part of your learnings as a student of GKR karate.

Although karate is considered a solo sport, it is still the foundation for many life long friendships. Classes include games and partner work where children and adults alike take the opportunity to learn about and bond with their fellow class mates.
