Unlike many Direct Debit contracts, your agreement with GKR Karate is not a fixed term lock-in arrangement, and only requires 28 days’ notice to cancel (ie: your final payment will come out no more than 28 days after your notice to cancel is received). Please keep in mind that your existing training rate is fixed and will not increase whilst your current contract remains active. Cancelling your contract would mean that if you choose to return to training in the future then you would be required to pay the current rates at the time. Should you only wish to stop payments for a short time, we would recommend arranging a contract suspension instead, which will preserve your locked in training fee rate.

To arrange cancellation of your contract simply complete the form below and our Membership Support Team will action this request for you.

Please note your 28 day cancellation process will begin from the date your submission is received (unless otherwise indicated) and your GKR Karate Digital Training Pass will stay active right up until the end of your last payment period.

How long will my request take to action?

We aim to respond to all requests within 4 business days.

Please note that your cancellation notice period will begin from the day that your request is received (unless otherwise indicated). This will ensure you are in no way disadvantaged by any delays in processing your contract cancellation.

You will receive an email confirmation when your request is processed.
Can I still train during my 28 day notice period?

Absolutely! Your Digital Training Pass will remain active during the 28 day notice period and you are welcome to continue training for the full duration of the notice period.
What happens if I wish to return?

If at any time you wish to return to training, all you need to do is contact us at directdebit@gkrkarate.com and we will be happy to help you!

Self Defence

Synonymous with martial arts, self defence and inner self confidence are one of the key takeaways from regular training. From the age of 5 GKR teaches basic self defence and extraction moves, continuing right through to our senior grades.
Weight Loss

Karate is a great way to lose or maintain a healthy weight, with most classes consisting of aerobic, stretching and toning activities. For those who may not have exercised in some time, GKR provides a supportive environment where students can train at their own pace and physical ability. Our classes are a mixture of men, women and children of all ages.
Focus

Many parents are keen to see their children develop greater focus and discipline through their martial arts training, and GKR’s classes provide the perfect environment. Instructors teach in a respectful and supportive atmosphere through karate inspired games, activities and drills.

Family

GKR promotes a family environment, encouraging kids, parents and relatives to all train in the same class. Staying a few karate grades behind your children, will encourage them to continue a regular training program.
Respect

As a traditional Japanese martial arts, karate promotes respect to our instructors, our club, each other and most importantly ourselves. This is a key part of your learnings as a student of GKR karate.
Friendships

Although karate is considered a solo sport, it is still the foundation for many life long friendships. Classes include games and partner work where children and adults alike take the opportunity to learn about and bond with their fellow class mates.
